Plastic encapsulated motor is widely used in household appliances. Its biggest advantage is low noise, so it is first used in air conditioners. In Japan, the indoor fans of split type air conditioners have mostly adopted plastic encapsulated motors. For example, the noise of Panasonic split type air conditioners is 23 dB when they are under light load and 34 dB when they are running. In addition, high-grade washing machines made in Japan have also started to use plastic encapsulated motors for moisture-proof and vibration absorption. Panasonic took the lead in the application of plastic encapsulated AC motor in the Japanese washing machine industry. The plastic encapsulated motor adopts an integral plastic encapsulated structure, which can not be seen even on the bearing outside the motor. The synchronous motor and brushless DC motor in Japan have also started to use plastic packaging structure. For example, the HC type hysteresis synchronous motor with plastic packaging structure developed by Sony in 1985 has been used as the main guide shaft motor on the VCR.
