More information of motor capacitor
The capacitor is called the phase-shifting capacitor, also called the starting capacitor.
A unidirectional motor must generate a torque (a rotating force) to rotate. Then this torque is obtained by combining the coil with capacitance (starting winding) and the coil without capacitance (main winding).
If the electric fan does not rotate, it is because the capacitor is broken, and the fan makes a sound of weaving, but it does not rotate. If you turn the fan by hand, the fan will rotate normally. This is what this capacitor does: to generate a starting torque.
AC motor to connect capacitor, capacitance is to produce phase difference, and let the motor magnetic field produce "asynchronous", the motor will rotate.
